Six Days in the Loire Valley
Chateau de Chenonceau
Picture this: the Loire Valley, where castles pop up like storybook pages and wine flows like the river. I’ve teamed up with Eurobound, one of our go-to travel crews, for this 6-day getaway—around $4000 per person, packed with cool experiences like race tracks, vineyard rides, and dinners that’ll make you weak in the knees. This is just a starter idea—contact me at Mark@MDTraveling.com, and we’ll tailor it with Eurobound to fit you perfectly,
Day 1: Paris to Le Mans – Kick It Off Right
Land in Paris and a private ride takes you to Montparnasse Station. Hop a first-class train to Le Mans—just an hour—and you’re at Le Mans Country Club, a 4-star château tucked in a 17th-century castle. Your room’s got that cozy castle feel with a modern twist, surrounded by killer grounds. Take the “Petit Train” for a quick spin through Le Mans’ cute streets, then settle in for a cheese and wine tasting—gooey Camembert and crisp whites in a cozy cellar. It’s the perfect hello to France.
Day 2: Le Mans – Rev Up and Wind Down
Grab your rental car—sleek, automatic, ready to roll—and hit the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit. The practice session’s a blast—cars zooming and crowds buzzing. After, swing by The Distillerie du Sonneur for a tasting for liqueurs that hit just right. Back at the hotel, dig into a delicious dinner—maybe duck confit with a view of the park.
Day 3: Le Mans to Chambord – Antiques and Easy Rides
Cruise out to La Chartre-sur-le-Loir for La Maison Courtin—an antique shop that’s a treasure hunt with bubbly in hand. Then head to Relais de Chambord, a 5-star property right by Château de Chambord’s epic moat. Hop on an E-bike for a ride through the estate, stopping at a vineyard for some Chenin Blanc that’s sunshine in a glass. Dinner at Le Grand Saint-Michel’s got Loire vibes—fresh fish with a view of those fairy-tale turrets.
Day 4: Chambord to Blois – Horses and Happy Hours
Drive to Saumur for Le Cadre Noir—the horses prance like they’re showing off just for you. Then hit Château de Parnay in Parnay for a winery stop. Roll into Blois (about an hour) and check into Fleur de Loire, a 5-star treat on the river. Your room’s got Loire views and dinner at Christophe Hay’s 2-Michelin-star spot—maybe river fish with herbs—is next-level good. You’re in for a treat.
Royal Chateau Blois
Day 5: Blois – Abbey Vibes and Castle Nights
Take a quick morning jaunt to Fontevraud L’Abbaye (an hour away)—it’s got this cool, ancient feel with kings’ tombs and quiet arches, perfect for a private wander. Back in Blois, a guide shows you Château Royal with its hundreds of years of imperial history. Stick around Fleur de Loire—hit the Sisley Spa if you’re feeling it, or grab a drink at the bar. Dinner’s another round with a full tasting menu, a wonderful encore to your Blois stay.
Day 6: Blois to Paris – Easy Goodbyes
A private ride gets you to Blois station, where a first-class train (1 hour 45 minutes) zips you to Paris Montparnasse. One more transfer to the airport, and you’re off—still buzzing from castles, wines, and those Michelin-starred bites. It’s a trip you won’t forget.
